Ash-Bebo dance ends family war!

One can’t say the camaraderie between Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor-almost-Khan that became openly dicernible for all to see that evening, came as a complete surprise.

However to see them laughing, giggling, whispering and behaving like two long-lost sahelis was something that did bring a smile to all the invitees’ faces and added that extra zing to Karan’s glamour-gorged party.
Easily the highlight of the evening was the two girls Aishwarya and Kareena taking to the dance floor and dancing together thereby bringing down to the dust the long-standing cold war between the Bachchans and Kapoors that started when Abhishek’s relationship with Karisma’s sister had come to an end.
In retaliation the Bachchans decided to sever all relations with the Kapoors, leaving the baffled Kareena high and dry.
Kareena had cried before a mutual friend wondering how was it her fault if her sister and Abhishek broke up.
Mischief-making journalists had tried to instigate Kareena by telling her Abhishek was refusing films with her, prompting the emotional girl to react angrily and defiantly.
Tempers between the two families have cooled down considerably. Very recently, through the subtle efforts of Aishwarya and Karan Johar from both ends, the two families had begun to dissolve their differences.
During the release of Abhishek’s Drona last year the director Goldie Behl even tried to invite Kareena and her sister to the premier.
But perhaps the wounds hadn’t healed completely.
Karan’s party on Monday evening did the trick. The two lovely ladies made a portrait of warmth and bonhomie.
In fact very recently Kareena had indicated to me her partiality towards Aishwarya when she said she loved the way Aishwarya conducted her career after marriage and would love to conduct her career the same way.
Now after the dance of rapprochement between the two captivating screen queens at Karan’s birthday it’s only a matter of time before Abhishek and Kareena finally come together again for a film after Refugee and Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon.
And chances are Karan Johar would design the project.
Saif's production house to specially pen roles for Bebo

Kareena Kapoor has always been selective in her choice of roles; now, she's also paying attention to the depth of her roles. It is believed that when Sohail Khan approached her for his home production, starring himself and brother Salman, Bebo asked him to have her role rewritten to make it more substantial Sohail did so. The actress says, "Main Aur Mrs Khanna is a girl's story and Sohail and Salman have great roles."
Would she consider having a role written especially for her? She says, "Saif has a production house and he asks me what roles I want to do and that he will have them written for me. I am very lucky. One film I am dying to do is Mamma Mia! it's brilliant. I love Meryl Streep and only watch her films! I would love to do a Mother India too, but who can write such good scripts today?"
Bebo continues, "I have always been clear about what roles I want to do. If someone says I can't do a role, I instantly take it up as a point to prove be it a 22-year-old sex worker in Chameli or playing Dolly Mishra in a male-dominated Omkara.
I've done it without any sugar daddy to thank. It is sheer hard work and dedication and the faith of my wonderful directors Sudhir Mishra, Imtiaz Ali, Vishal Bhardwaj, Rensil D'Silva, Raju Hirani and Saabir Khan among others."
Kareena whose family started the trend of Holi bashes didn't play this year. "I slept and caught up on all that I missed out while attending Amu's wedding last week. I stopped playing Holi as the colours stay and then it becomes difficult to shoot. I miss my grandfather's parties at RK Studios. He took that with him when he left. Now no Kapoor celebrates the festival in a big way.
I remember as a child full of awe watching the stars who would come to attend grandfather's Holi bash from Dilip uncle to all the actresses of that time.
Aamir gets offer from Danny Boyle!

If the latest news is to be believed, Oscar winning director Danny Boyle is very keen to work with Bollywood actor Aamir Khan. Danny had expressed his desire to work with Aamir during the premiere of Slumdog Millionaire in India. He is said to have approached him again recently.
Danny Boyle came back to India a few days ago to rescue the child actors of Slumdog Millionaire Mohammed Azharuddin Ismail and Rubina Ali after their houses in the slum were destroyed by the authorities in Mumbai. As fate has it, Aamir Khan, who has been in the US with his kids on a vacation, flew back to Mumbai for a short stay. It is said that Danny wasted no time in seizing the opportunity.
The news is doing the rounds that Danny called on Aamir to discuss a new project on May 26, before hosting a party for the select members of team Slumdog Millionaire. The outcome of the meeting is not yet known but the fans of the director and the actor are already ecstatic, hoping that they would come together.
Of course Danny and Aamir would make a deadly combination! No doubt about it!

Kareena is partial when it comes to Saif

Says a source, "This year, Bebo's dates are in a mess. She has to give 100 to120 days for Agent Vinod and then to Karan's project. The shoot of Agent Vinod has been postponed from July to September and will be shot in Europe while Stepmom will be filmed in Australia over 100 days. She has to give major chunks of dates for both the films apart from her endorsements, shows and the completion of Rajkumar Hirani's 3 Idiots."
According to the source, "Love Aaj Kal was to release in June but got postponed to August because of the multiplex strike. The producers of Love Aaj Kal don't want to start the shooting of Agent Vinod till LAK releases. So now, Kareena has opted to give dates to Agent Vinod as it is Saif's production. She has told Sudhir Mishra that she can't give dates to him."
Kareena informs, "The shooting for Agent Vinod has got postponed because of the multiplex strike and I can give dates only for two films — Agent Vinod and Karan's film — I have exciting roles in both and am looking forward to them. These are my priorities this year. I have told Sudhir that I can only give dates after a year and I think they might wait." Farhan Akhtar features with Kareena Kapoor and Chitrangada Singh in Sudhir Mishra's Dhruv, a desi adaptation of Shakespeare's Hamlet. The film is produced by Riteish Sidhwani and Farhan.

Every step she takes, every move she makes, every guy she meets, the media is watching her. Asin Thottumkal, the latest Bollywood sensation, must be getting tired of the constant speculation revolving around her personal life. She is miffed at the latest rumours that Salman Khan has gifted her a house.
Asin has been linked with Salman ever since they joined hands for London Dreams. It was reported that Salman has dumped Katrina Kaif because of her relationship with him. Asin has denied the rumours. This time around, she is miffed at the rumours that Salman has bought a house for her.
