Sonam, Bollywood's best dressed celebrity

Two film-old actress Sonam Kapoor has beaten the likes of Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif to emerge as the best dressed celebrity in India, according to People magazine.

"My style isn't about trends. I don't let the clothes wear me, I wear them," said the 24-year-old about her style statement.

On the list, Kareena holds second position, Priyanka is third, Twinkle Khanna on fourth and Katrina on fifth slot.

Sonam, daughter of Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor, made her acting debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya opposite Ranbir Kapoor and later featured in Delhi 6.

The young actress will now be seen in Ayesha.

Sonam Kapoor is in love!

ollywood actress Sonam Kapoor, who is currently in the capital for the shooting of Ayesha, says she loves everything about the city except its unpredictable weather.

"I'm in love with this city. I love the food, shopping, parties and people of Delhi - they are so lively. When you watch this city on the big screen, it looks beautiful," Sonam told reporters here.

"But the weather is unpredictable - one moment it's sunny and suddenly it starts raining and that is the only thing that I don't like about this place. But every time I come here, I feel good," said the actress whose aunt lives here.

Before Ayesha, she was also here to shoot for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Delhi-6. Though the movie didn't do well at the box-office, the actress enjoyed her stay here.

She has teamed up with Abhay Deol for Ayesha, which is her father Anil Kapoor's home production. An adaptation of Jane Austen's novel Emma, the film is about the perils of misconstrued romance

Asin getting too close to her enemies!

Seems like the Bollywood honeymoon is still not over for Asin Thottumkal, as the sinfully delicious actress seriously feels that actress can compete for the same roles and still be friends.

After being in news for sharing a dozen SMS everyday with Ranbir Kapoor’s girlfriend Deepika Padukone, Asin is hitting the airwaves again for being buddies with Anil Kapoor’s little girl, Sonam Kapoor.

Katrina snatches another deal from Aishwarya

Bollywood actress Aishwarya Bachchan may not have come out of the pain of loosing the Nakshatra jewellery endorsement deal to Katrina Kaif last year. but now the New York actress has snatched another endorsement deal from her. A soap that the former Miss World endorses wants Katrina to sign up for their upcoming campaign. A well placed sources confirmed that the company is already in talks with Katrina but the deal with the actress hasn't been finalised yet.

If that was not enough a reputed watch company which has Aishwarya on board for endorsing its products is in talks with Katrina as well. Earlier in the year Mattel Toys India Pvt. Ltd. had made Katrina the face of Indian barbie doll during the Lakme Fashion Week. This after the company had almost finalised the deal with Aishwarya Bachchan. So when the soap giant thought about dumping Aishwarya it did not surprise many.

Analysts believe Aishwarya who is the wrong side of 30 is slowly loosing her appeal over the younger girls. When L'Oreal hired Sonam Kapoor to endorse its product it was evident that Aishwarya's brand value had certainly taken a hit. Sonam made matters worse for the actress when she stated that she was youth face of the product while Aishwarya would appeal to the older women. Ash did not take this lightly and made sure Sonam's red carpet walk at Cannes was cancelled.

Aishwarya teaches Sonam a lesson

The Aishwarya Bachchan – Sonam Kapoor controversy refuses to die down. Both Ash and Sonam seem to be in no mood of calling it quits from the war of words. Just a few weeks back Sonam had taken a dig at Aishwarya by calling her 'Aunty Ji' as she had starred with her dad Anil Kapoor. Now Aishwarya has hit back at her by calling her just another junior actress.

While inaugurating a beauty school for the cosmetic giant L'Oreal Aishwarya said that the issue had been blown up by the media. Aishwarya also said that there was no competition between her and Sonam and as the Saawariya girl was just another junior actress. She added that nowhere seniors need to compete with their juniors to prove themselves.

Sonam and Aishwarya have been engaged in a war of words ever since L'Oreal had chosen Sonam as the young face of their brand. Sonam had stated that she was the young face while Ash represented the older women. Ash did not take this dig at her age kindly and made sure Sonam missed the opportunity to walk the Red Carpet with other beauties of the world during the Cannes Film Festival
